What services does easy2efile provide?

Easy2efile offers the complete set of services that make online filing fast, efficient, customer-service oriented and data-secure. Our comprehensive service includes:

  • e-filing with the IRS or SSA
  • printing and mailing to the recipient via first-class mail (or e-delivery based on the recipient's preference)
  • electronic transmittal of the summary 1096 or W-3 data
  • confirmation messages at each step of the process
  • printable PDF copies for state/local filings or for your records

In addition, your payer and recipient data are saved year to year to make future filings even easier.

When can I begin filing forms?

You can begin filing as soon as easy2efile is able to release the current year's forms, typically in late November or early December. You do not have to wait until January to file your forms. 

How do I pay for forms I wish to submit?

Simply enter your credit card information at checkout. Easy2efile supports real-time credit card processing and accepts all major credit cards. For increased security, easy2efile does not store your credit card information, nor does it make it accessible on the site for future orders. 

How long does it take for recipients to receive their forms?

It takes 2-3 business days to process and mail submitted forms. Recipients can expect to receive their copies within 5-7 business days after mailing.

  • Orders placed on or before 10 a.m. EST on January 29th will be processed and mailed by the January 31st deadline.
  • Starting February 11th, forms are processed every Monday morning and postmarked within 3 business days of process date.

Can I obtain copies of forms after I file them?

Once your forms have been submitted with payment, you will be able to print your copies or simply save them in PDF format.

When does easy2efile file my forms with the IRS / SSA?

Easy2efile starts e-filing with the IRS/SSA on January 21, 2015, for the 2014 tax season. Easy2efile will file daily (possibly multiple times per day during busy days) thru March 31, 2015. Starting in April, forms will be e-filed every Monday morning through the end of the year.

Please note that the deadline to file electronically is March 31. In years where March 31 falls on a weekend or a federal holiday, the deadline is extended to the next business day. 

Does easy2efile participate in the Combined Federal/State Filing Program (CFSFP)?

Yes, easy2efile automatically files Form 1099-MISC, 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-B and 1099-R under the Combined Federal/State Filing Program. This program can save you the extra step of filing separately for the following participating states: AL, AZ, AK, CA, CO, CT, DE, DC, GA, HI, ID, IN, IA, KS, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NJ, NM, NC, ND, OH, SC, UT, VA, VT and WI. 

Does Easy2efile file my forms with the state and city, too?

Easy2efile automatically files form types 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-MISC and 1099-R in the IRS' Combined Federal/State Filing Program, which makes the form data available to the 32 states that participate in the program. We do not e-file or mail city or local copies for you. To comply with non-participating states, or city and local requirements, you may need to print a copy of your forms and mail them to these agencies.

Not all states participate in this program, including tax-free states such as Nevada, Florida, Washington and Wyoming. If you have questions regarding state filings, we suggest that you talk with your accountant or attorney for clarification. 

I discovered an error on a filed form. How do I correct it?

You can change any information entered into a form as long as you have not checked out and paid for our service. Once you make a payment you will not be able to make changes to the existing form.

Filing a correction form:
If you discover any error after you have paid for the forms you must file a separate correction form. Corrected forms must be submitted to the IRS and a corrected recipient copy must be provided to the recipient as soon as possible. 

Is it possible to correct data on a form that has already been printed and mailed?

No, you cannot change any information entered into a form once you have checked out and paid for our service.

What is most important is that the IRS receives accurate information, so we encourage all customers to correct data in their forms as their own recipients report errors, prior to checking them out and submitting payment. As part of our online filing service, we electronically submit your filings as they are checked out and paid for on our website. 

Once I file my forms with easy2eFile, do I need to file Form 1096 or W-3?

No! As part of our e-file process, Easy2efile compiles the summary data required on Form 1096 or W-3 and transmit it along with your forms. 

Is easy2efile site secure?

Your data is encrypted using the strongest encryption program available, recommended by the federal government. uses the information you provide only for the purpose of processing your forms. Easy2efile do not sell or share your information with other parties unless required by law, even if you are no longer using our services.
